I was at Grocery Outlet today and saw a deal that I wanted to pass on! For those of you who don't know about Grocery Outlet you can read previous posts here.

They have Campbells Cream of Mushroom and Cream of Chicken for $0.69 each. I know that occasionally Albertsons has these for only $0.50, but if you are out this is a good price for now!

I also go there to get cheap lunches that my hubby can take to work. Today I was able to get

Smart Ones (weightwatchers) Calzones for $1.49 and Quesadillas for only $0.99

I also always go there to get my bread. Almost everyday they get a delivery of day old bread.

Classic Bread for only $1.39! (Black, cinnimon swirl, potatoe, classic white) they also have Classic Bread rolls. My mother in law loves this stuff, just go early because at this price they are usually all gone by 2pm!

My thoughts on Couponing

I have recently heard from a few different friends that find the whole couponing thing to be to overwhelming and time consuming so they just give up and go back to their old way of shopping. It makes me sad! I look at a lot of different couponing blogs out there and I see women in the store who are so obsessed with couponing and with "She who gets the most for the least wins" syndrome that they let it rule their lives! I want you all to know that it does not have to be that way!

So many people think that if you want to do this you have to get 5 Sunday newspapers and spend every moment looking for the deal! YOU DON"T!! I will let you in on a secret! I DO NOT GET EVEN 1 SUNDAY PAPER!!! My parents don't coupon (even though I try to get them too) so my dad sets the ads aside for me and I pick them up when I am in the area, sometimes if my inlaws don't want theirs they will also give them to me! You would be surprised how many people out there get the paper and never even look at the coupons! Just ask around to friends and neighbors, I bet you can find at least 1 or 2 that would give you the inserts!

I get most of my good coupons from the computer. There are soooo many internet coupons out there! If you have more then 1 computer use both to double them! If you need more call around to those same family and friends and I bet they can print some out for you and you can pick them up along with the inserts!

Now that you have your coupons just find a few blogs you like and check them while you are on the computer, it doesn't take long because honestly you will find lost of duplicate info, so just scan them for things you are looking for, print them out or just write it out on a pad. I like to write it out like below just so I know what I am looking for, I match it with the coupon and I know how much it will cost, then I am not flustered in the store. Then I put the list with the coupons in a clear page protector in the front of my binder so it is all together and ready to give the cashier.

-Match it with the coupons and you are ready to go!

Really that is all there is to it! I may be the only one with a blog that does not tell you that you have to get 5 papers, you don't have to dedicate hours of your day to the hunt of the sale. I have 3 kids with one on the way, I have a part time job let alone the job of being a wife and mother. I know many of you are in the same boat, you just want to take care of your families for less and I hope that I can help you do that! I hope these tips help! I have to vent for a second here. I am so frustrated with my Albertsons Preferred card, it does not seem to be accruing my gas discount! Plus have they changed their policy regarding how it accrues? It used to be that it was based off of your before discounts and coupons which was great, but now if looks like it is based off of how much out of pocket! Is it just me and my card? What is going on with yours? I would love to know because the lady I talked to on the 1-800 # didn't know anything! HELP!!!

Ok....I'm back for my trip!! I wanted to tell you guys about a great local event to mark on your calenders. This Wednesday, July 1 at the Idaho Center, will be the 43rd annual God and Country Family Festival. This is a great FREE family friendly way to spend time together while celebrating this wonderful country that we are blessed to live in. We go every year! There is great music performed by local and nationally known artists, lots of great activities for the kids and the evening end with an amazing fireworks display set to wonderful music. Gates open at 5:00 and the performances start at 6:00. We usually just take a bunch of blankets (last year they would not let you bring in chairs) and some card games and sit on the grass enjoying the music and our family while we wait for the fireworks. This is a great way to kick off the 4th of July weekend! To learn more go here. I hope to see you there!!

This is completely different from what was being reported earlier this week from people that had spoken to corporate directly. Ok, so I am a little slow on getting this posted, but I have a good reason! I am moving tomorrow and have been busy packing and cleaning! Anyway! Kmart will be doubling this next week which is always fun because they double up to $2.00 and you don't have to have any double coupons like Albertsons! The bad part is that they are notorious for having very little on hand so things go pretty fast, so go early and check back often. My Boise store usually gets shipments on Thurs, just ask your local store when they get theirs. As far as participation I have heard that all southern Idaho stores will be, but it is always a good idea to call ahead (or check Sundays ad) Here is also a great link, if you read the comments a lot of people from around the country have posted if their stores are doing it. Also Hip2Save is my favorite place to find some good match ups, just in case I don't get around to posting any since I will be unpacking! So start clipping & printing those coupons and have some fun! I have got to get back to packing!

Crazy Good Clearance at Walmart!

For those of you who live in the Boise area, you are in luck! The Walmart on Glenwood and State is remodeling and they have some crazy good clearance deals going on! I got everything in the picture for only $33.65! I won't go into all the details but I will say:

All of the clothes I got were only $1 each, they had about 5 $1 racks and lots of other $3 & $5 racks.
They had tons of clearance items in the room at the front of the store (where they usually have Bronco gear) It was like a treasure hunt!
The body washes were all only $1 and I had coupons for them too so I got them for FREE!
The High School Musical game (DVD game) was ony $1!
The Highschool Musical Barbie was only $5!
All the candy was only $0.25, some were even only $0.10!
I got the only pack of diapers ( I am expecting!) for only $5!

So if you are in the area it is worth the trip, they had so much stuff and a large variety from every dept! The tip the guy gave me while I was there is that they usually mark clearance down at the first of the month, so even if you arent in the area dont forget to check your local Walmart Clearance!

I am a follower! I would love to win this giveaway! My poor coupons are in desperate need of an Extreme Makeover: Coupon Edition. They are a great bunch of peelies, blinkies, printed & paper coupons that have been living in a small plastic accordian file separated by 6 plastic tabs. Each coupon deserves its own space but there is just no money... The "door" to their file fell off and it will no longer close so these poor coupons are hanging on for dear life trying not to fall out. In fact, many times they are left in the car for fear they would be lost, so they are not used to their full potential. Many of these coupons expire soon; please help them before it is too late!

I was just at Target and they have a lot of good clearance deals! I am sorry that I don't have any specific prices I was in a hurry but here are a few that I saw
